| | 20/02/2002. 25-year-old Chechen preparing his does of Herion in a friends car. Since the wars and the "situation without exit" the number of young men taking drugs is exploding. To finance his habit ( 50 Rubels a shot, bought at one of the many neighbourhoods dealers ) he steals/collects valuable metalls in the ruins for resale. Almost all of the youngsters like him still live with their families. |

Chechen girl, 15 year old Sarema, detained by the pro-Russian Chechen militia when a bomb in a football she carried in her bag exploded in front of a police station. She says, as do the investigators, who keep her under a "witness protection program", that she was kidnapped and forcefully married to a Chechen rebel "Wahabbi" commander, drugged and conned into approaching the police station to hand back a bag unaware of the explosives. The bomb didn't detonate properly and she was only slightly injured. |
