SUMMARY OF POSITION
IREX seeks a Reporting Officer (intern) for a minimum of 6 months for its program office in the North Caucasus . The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief of Party of the USAID-funded Youth Initiative for Promotion of Peace in the North Caucasus (YIPP) to ensure adherence to grant-reporting schedules, monitoring and evaluation requirements, and other communication needs, including grant writing. Other duties will depend on interest and experience. Round-trip plane ticket, food and lodging expenses will be covered. JOB DESCRIPTION

* Work closely with the Chief of Party to ensure adherence to grant-reporting schedules and monitoring and evaluation requirements
* Assist with other communication needs
* Contribute to grant writing
* Other duties depending on interest and experience

QUALIFICATIONS

* Fluent written and spoken Russian (no exceptions)
* 6-month minimum commitment
* Good understanding of international development and/or conflict management
* Interest in youth/youth education and peace building
* Ability to write content and format professional-quality documents in English using MS Office applications
* Previous experience working in a conflict or post-conflict environment (preferred)
