Многие из этих программ специально нацелены на привлечение кандидатов из национальных меньшинств и регионов, где идут конфликты или есть социальные проблемы, таких, как Северный Кавказ. И это дает Вам больше шансов. Комиссия, ведущая процесс отбора кандидатов не дискриминирует их на почве национальной принадлежности, пола или религии. Однако процесс отбора тщателен и квалифицированных кандидатов много, и нет гарантии, что Вас, как и любого другого кандидата, выберут или не выберут. The European Forum Alpbach and the Vienna School of Clinical Research present the workshop Health Care & Social System, Summer School in Alpbach (Austria) from 14 – 21 August 2008 Funding/scholarships are available to successful applicants under 30. The deadline for applications is April 30, 2008. If you would like to apply, please read the program description below carefully before contacting us at can@chechnyaadvocacy.org! The primary objectives of the course are: • Initiate an interdisciplinary knowledge exchange related to the basic principles and concepts of “Health Care & Social System” • Provide an overview of possible structures of health care systems • Provide an overview of influencing factors and aspects of health care reform • Provide an understanding of the scientific and other tools and methods of health care decision making • Provide an understanding of roles and responsibilities and how to assume them effectively • Provide skills and knowledge to become a (pro-)active player in health care decision-making to initiate change and reform • Contribute to the formation of an international and interdisciplinary network 25 candidates will be selected from applications received for this workshop. The following pre-requisites should be met by applicants: • young experts involved in processes of health care decision making at the political, administrative, financial, legal, clinical or managerial level • University degree in a relevant field or medical students to graduate shortly or corresponding professional experience • fluency in English Scholarships are available for students and recent graduates up to 30 years of age. Older participants have to cover their costs themselves. To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must either have a degree from a university or a specialised institution of higher learning or be close to completion of their studies (preferably in medicine or another relevant field) and are required to produce evidence thereof (certificates, etc.). Deadline for scholarship application: 30 April 2008 (postmark) The amount of the scholarship differs according to the European region the applicant is coming from. Usually the scholarships cover the tuition fees only. For applicants from Southeastern, Central and Eastern Europe a contribution to the accommodation costs and in exceptional cases a daily allowance can be included as well. Travel costs have to be borne by the participants. The scholarship holders will be listed on our website and informed by e-mail at the beginning of June at the latest. Please make sure to mention an e-mail address in the application form that is valid from March to August.
